Rawhiti's Travels
Introducing RawhitiRawhiti has long since been the logo for our Kindergarten Association. It was decided in 2008 that he be made into a character - and what a great character he is! Children love Rawhiti and they recognise him when they see him out and about. Rawhiti travels all over the Central North Island visiting kindergartens, centres and attending events. |

Rawhiti goes in the Float ParadeOn the 6th December 2008 Rawhiti joined Hinemoa Kindergarten's Christmas float. The children sang waiata learnt for the Tuwharetoa Festival. We won 2nd prize! You can tell by Rawhiti's smile that he had a great time. |

Otorohanga transition to 6 hour sessions and Rawhiti was there to celebrate. Here is what the kindergarten had to say. "Today was the first 6 hour session held and it started with a Karakia at Circle time where Rawhiti was introduced to all the children. The teachers have planned a busy week to show Rawhiti around the community. This evening the annual Trikathon was to be held, but it had to be postponed because of the rain. We are having roasted sausages on Wednesday, a visit to the Library for a story on Thursday, and I hear there is going to be a Teddy Bears Picnic on Friday. It's going to be a grand week of celebrations with fun, laughter and waiata. And balloons too of course. |
