Tokoroa Early Learning Centre
Introduction
The CNI Early Education Services Trust owns and operates nine childcare services located in Hamilton, Morrinsville, Taupo, Kawerau, Matata, Papamoa, Taumarunui and Tokoroa. We are delighted to have included the Tokoroa Early Learning Centre within our group. This centre provides quality childcare for babies, toddlers and young children.
The Trust operates in association with the Central North Island Kindergarten Association's 48 kindergartens. The centre operates under the Association's quality management systems and employs trained, registered teachers (ECE) to manage the day-to-day operation of the centre and its educational programme for children. Full-time and part-time trainee teachers and teacher aides are employed in order to meet/exceed the staff: child ratios required by the Ministry of Education.
Parent enquiries are always welcome so please call into the centre any weekday or phone to make an appointment at a time suitable to you. Centre staff will be delighted to show you around, discuss the needs of your child, and assist you in the enrolment process.
This centre also operates an out of school care and recreation (OSCAR) programme for working families if you need this for your school children.
The Tokoroa Early Learning Centre is open from 7.30 am to 5.30 pm Monday to Friday.
The Programme Staff: child ratios are in place to enhance the care and learning opportunities for children. We have registered teachers in senior positions and are working towards having all staff becoming qualified, experienced, highly skilled staff working across all age ranges. We believe in the concept of family/whanau grouping as this enhances the environment for learning. We also have areas where small groups of children can work and play thus providing a safe environment for younger children to safely explore their surroundings.
The curriculum base for all our programme development is Te WhÄriki, the national early childhood curriculum. This forms the basis of two strands of planning. Firstly, each child's individualised programme of development and learning and secondly the environmental planning that is in response to group/staff/community interests.
We recognise how important and significant our role is in the partnership between your family, your child and our Centre. We will work with you to enhance your child's early learning years.
