Barbara Lingard

Barbara Lingard is a qualified Early Childhood Education professional.   She is the Early Childcare Education representative on the New Zealand Standards Playground Safety Committee and joint author of the Playground Standards Handbook.  Barbara is on the Register of Play Inspections International qualified to Level 3 Annual Inspector and has more than 25 years experience in the field of Early Childhood Education including the design and installation of playground equipment as part of the outdoor learning environment.  Barbara is involved in the detailed design of outdoor learning environments in both New Zealand and Overseas and has spoken at numerous seminars, workshops and conferences on these issues.

 Mr Clive Dodd

Clive Dodd is a Chartered Professional Engineer and Member of Engineers Australia.   He is the Chair of the New Zealand Standards Playground Safety Committee and represents the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents in the field of Play Safety in Australia and New Zealand. He is on the Register of Play Inspections International qualified to Level 3 Annual Inspector. He has more than 15 years experience in the field of International Standards Compliance, Inspection, Assessment, Auditing and Certification.  Clive has a Degree in Engineering, a Master's Degree in Urban and Regional Planning and is a qualified Local Government Engineer. Clive also currently holds the honorary position as an Australian representative on the ASTM International Committee Sports Equipment and Facilities F08 responsible for the Play Equipment and Surfacing Standards. He holds the honorary position as the Engineers Australia representative on Australian Standards Committees for Children's Playgrounds CS005 and is on the Executive of Kidsafe Queensland.
