Key Strategies

Governance :

a)       In its governance role the Board will provide strong, values based leadership, while maintaining a forward looking and innovative perspective. 

 Education:

a)       To be recognised as an Association that provides consistently high quality teaching practice in all kindergartens.

b)       Links between Te Whariki and the New Zealand Curriculum will be reflected through teacher's practice and knowledge, enabling children to transition to school as confident, competent learners.    

c)       To be recognised as leaders in 21st century early childhood educational practice.

d)       To be the preferred choice of parents/maatua.

e)       Tangata whenua will feel confident that their culture and tikanga are respected in the kindergarten environment.

 

Management:

a)       This Association is the preferred employment choice of teachers.

b)       Teachers practice reflects the Association’s philosophy.

c)       Kindergartens meet the needs of the community within the Association philosophy and practice/principles.

d)       To be recognised as professional and administrative leaders within early childhood education.

e)       Responsive and reciprocal relationships are maintained within the Association’s large geographic area.

 

Environment:

a)       To provide environments that enable highest quality experiences for children and staff.

b)       Use available resources to sustain and enhance the well being of Papatuanuku in kindergartens.

 

Financial:

a)       To effectively use the Association’s financial resources to improve and grow its asset base in accordance with the Association mission and philosophy.

b)       Responsibly apply the Association's financial resources.
