Key Strategies
Education
- To provide consistently high quality teaching practice/strategies in all kindergartens
- To inform parents/caregivers/whanau of the Association's philosophy and the
principles of effective education practice - To enhance children's mastery of early skills in reading and mathematics
- To sustain and enhance information and communication technology (ICT) development as a tool for learning
- To recognise and reflect the Association's commitment to strengthening its positive relationships with Maori
- To strengthen kindergarten relationships with local primary schools
Management
- To effectively promote kindergarten education as a quality choice for families
- To provide quality professional development opportunities for all staff
- To address the shortage of suitably qualified teachers in indentified hard to staff areas
- To ensure that kindergartens identify and respond to the needs of their community within the parameters of the service offered
- To implement a programme of regular review that provides feedback on the
Association's progress towards meeting its goals and objective's
Environment
- To ensure kindergarten environments are clean, safe, well maintained and meet the learning needs of young children
Financial
- To manage funds and assets in a responsible manner
